Our volunteers

There are no paid staff. More than sixty volunteers work on a rota basis to produce the weekly tape of the Gazette and regular editions of our magazine and Punjabi language tapes. The names of our compilers, sound technicians and readers are familiar to those who receive our tapes, but equally important are those who deal with correspondence; those who process the sacks full of returned tapes each week, sorting and filing the address labels, checking and rewinding the tapes, and inserting address labels in postal wallets ready for the next edition; and those who give so much of their time to find so many interesting articles for the magazine tape.

28th Anniversary
Our first tape was produced in July 1980. Since then there have been well over a thousand editions of ETN's weekly tape of the local paper, plus countless editions of the magazine and Punjabi language tapes.
